I would wager that Audi doesn't make a cheap one if they do at all. And you'll get
more bang for the buck in the stereo department by going with a third party
manufacturer. If you want to keep the factory head unit, you could get an RF
modulated CD changer. The input goes to your radio antenna and then you tune to a
specific FM frequency to hear the tunes. I believe the sound is degraded slightly
from CD quality, but probably not much. I've never heard one so I can't say for
sure. Chances are you won't find something that will display your CD player info on
your dash as well, but hopefully that's liveable for you. In general, Blaupunkt
equipment is quasi-compatible with the Audi factory setup. You can call Crutchfield
or go to their website to get an idea of the selection you have. Don't pay too much
attention to them if they tell you certain decks/speakers won't fit your car. A
little ingenuity can go a long way in getting the stereo system you want. Good
luck,
Joel
