alt. exciter wire not doing its thing

Often, this is the wire connector lug that attaches the wire to
the alternator itself. It gets wet, salted, muddy, and corrodes.
I undid the nut, took the lug off, clipped an inch of wire and
crimped a new lug on. 5 minutes, good as new.
