The real solution is to disassemble the caliper and clean out the corrosion 
inside, especially in the e-brake actuator chamber.  The need for a stiffer 
spring is just a symptom of lubricant and seals failure that eventually 
will lead to the calipers hanging up and not releasing totally from the 
rotors even if you're not using the e-brake.
