Vibration

Hi all

Just bought a ´90 A100tqw as our second or temporary car,
because I couldn´t put MC, or 1B engine to the ´87qw I bought
a month ago. Just because of our tax rules. OK I´m happy with
a new purchase and ´87 is for sale. Next year it´ll get company
that is called S4, just now can´t go for it.

There is one problem in that MC-engined car -motor vibration.
It starts at 3.2k, nothing under it, gets a little smaller after 3.5k.
It is a high frequency vib that can be felt on the clutch pedal and
is also audible, but doesn´t shake the balls off.

It doesn´t ( very much ) depend on the load of the engine. Also
it doesn´t matter what is the speed or which gear is on, just revs.
Engine mounts are ok neither there is anything like steel against
steel.

I´ve heard about a 80q ( KV ) which had same problems after the
engine rebuilt, no solution, it just ran 200kmiles with that vibration.
For me the promblem isn´t big, just don´t like it, because the car
is unbeliavele silent before that vib area.

I just was thinking; can it be the crank pulley wheel, because it is
also a vibration damper? Anybody lost it, or any problems like it?
All ideas are heartly wellcome.

Regards
j-pm
