Let me assure you its not in the clutch, flywheel, transmission, engine,
power steering pump, hoses, ac comp., alternator, motormounts, axles,
bushings, vibration damper, master and clutch slave, injectors, cat.,
exhaust, brackets, hangers etc!!!! I have been chasing this costly annoying
problem down for about a year and a half. Car is a early 89 200tq 1 knock
sensor type chassis,
3 seperate motors, 2 flywheels, clutch, 1 brand NEW Trans. , etc,. etc..
Three different shops, all scratching thier heads , totally frustrated and in
disbelief when the car leaves the same way it came in. I am saying this so
you do not fall prey to some expert advice and try and give it a shot. This
vibration is a harmonic sounding hum when you listen carefully which is
transmitted in to the motor and flywheel into vibration , always, every time
you slowly bring the revs up to the range. If you run briskly past and into
upper rpm chances are you would not know its there. is this the symptom you
have? I have checked the timing, and anything else I could think of. It is
certainly a vibration within the motor and flywheel, no question about it, it
is there. If you disconnect the Decel hose and pull off the flywheel dust
cover bracket at the bottom of trans to block your in for a hell of a foot
massage at the clutch pedal in the rpm range. Sorry for the long post but I
am hoping for any suggestions from any listers for help and thoughts. There
was a post in the archives a long while back about the same vibration but got
wiped out by the bug. The only thing left to check or replace on my car is
in the electrics, and fuel system. If you find it let me know, I saved your
Email just in case something comes up. Sorry for the bad news,
dan
