5ktq problems

Hey all,

I need help with a few things on my 5ktq... 1)At start
up the temp sensor light comes on and stays on, but
everything gauge wise seems to be fine.  2)In the
first four gears under acceleration (mostly low
speed), the there is a grinding from what seems like
right below my feet.  The sound is heard from within
the car (pretty loud) but does not seem to be too
audible from outside the car.  The previous owner
thought that it might be the drive shaft rubbing
against the carrier bearing.  Any thoughts?
