Is an Audi a sports car?

I agree, but the implication is that Audis are not collectible, or have any
marque value in the same sense that this is absent from VW. SCM considers
Buick, Cisitalia, Datsun, Mercury, Olds, Toyota and Volvo amongst the less
obvious, as worthy of being deemed: sports cars. Note I am not debating
whether a Mustang or a Plymouth could be sports cars, I am noting that they
believe that the VW group has never made a sports car for sale to the
public.

That's what I find interesting in the light of the cars they think were
sports cars. Of course that makes ours the more affordable, and as at least
one person will agree, completely on a par with Lexus who are also excluded
from the list.
