Is an Audi a sports car?

Just to add some fuel to the fire.  To me sports car have a higher level of
performance than regular old everyday cars, Audi makes higher performance
cars.  But some of these cars are useful in transporting groups of people,
where as others audi models aren't, because it can seat 5 comfortably but
still have a 2.7 biturbo engine make it any less sporty.

To me Audi makes cars, some fast, some faster and some that are both fast
and cool. Depending on your model of Audi it may be sportier than mine, but
then again mine is more sporty than a Geo Metro (which does serve a
purpose, not to knock Geo Metros).

If you want to call it a sports car, I would look at what it was designed
for, if fun is anywhere in that definition then I would call it a sports
car.  But that is my definition not Websters or a reputable name in the
automotive industry.  Just a thought, some 4x4 trucks are called sports
trucks, I wouldn't want to oval track race with one, but up in the hills
they could be fun.
