Gather ye vutures while ye may . . .
Two turbo type 44's available very, very cheap, one for donor engine, one
could be fixed, but probably should be parted . . .
Car #1 is a 1984 turbo automatic. It runs and drives, but the interior is
*really* nasty. You won't catch anything and die from sitting in it, but it
is all split, dired out and trashed. These used to be leather seats, back
in 1984. Has later model rims (flat face), like 90's vintage 100/200 series.
This is an ideal donor car for a 4K turbo conversion, since it is complete
and runs, with all the fuel injection, ECU, everything.
Price is firm at $500.
Car #2 is a 1988 200 turbo automatic. The transmission is bad - nobody
home, period. The car is interesting: It is white with crappy gold trim
(rings, door handle inserts - old style door handles), some other trim. Has
late model offset trunk lock, late model flat face rims with two decent
Dunlop G60s (?) and two good Goodyears, car has ABS and aftermarket (cheap)
alarm system wired into the automatic door locks. Odo reads 115,000 miles,
no idea if it is correct or not. I have heard it run, and it seems OK with
a casual listen - no nasty noises, seemed to start properly and idle well.
Has good turbo headlights, good body, interior is about 7.5 of 10 in beige
leather, owner spent $3,000 on this car in the last year. When the tranny
puked, he got a quote of over $3,000 to fix it and gave up. This car was
driven regularly until the tranny died, so it is complete, everything is
there (except the radio), including the 10 speaker sound system door
panels, etc.
Price on this one is firm at $600.
Both cars are in Daytona Beach, Florida. If you ONLY want the engine(s), I
have a place for you to pull them out, but you get to leave me the rest of
the car. On the 84, there isn't anything I want, and I'll get the shell
junked for free (after you take ANYTHING you want), assuming you don't just
want to take the whole thing.
On the 88, I want the A/C components (all of them), the rear brake
calipers, and some sunroof and other misc. minor parts. Everything else is
fair game. Again, this assumes you don't just take the whole car - my price
for providing a place to pull the engine is the parts I need.
If you want a turbo engine for a conversion or even a spare, NOW is the time!
Best Regards,
Mike Arman
