a little dilemma (LAC)

O.k. I use to own a VW beetle in high school, first car, lots of work and
money put into it then sold it before I left for college, got to college
bought an 4ksq and it works excellent out here in Montana. The main reason
for selling the bug was that I didn't think it would be comfortable to
drive to and from Seattle, I am in Montana. The audi is great for that.
So, I was cruising the web and found my old bug for sale, my high school
ride. I would love to get it back but I don't know how to convince my
parents of this. I would drive the bug round town and it would have mostly
city miles on it, while the audi would have all the highway and nasty
winter miles on it. Granted typical repair costs on bug are significantly
less than that of an Audi. The audi has about 195k on it and I am getting
wary of big 200k. Plus the bug has a set of studded tires, so I would have
two awesome snow cars.
I do work here at college, as an RA, resident advisor, but is isn't a paid
job, so I get room and board for free, a savings to my parents. As an out
of state student the savings definately help.
Does anyone know of a cheap way to have a second vehicle, is there a
deduction with insurance for classic cars, the bug will just need the basic
maintanance, as I replaced most of the expensive stuff when I owned it.
I don't want to have a battle with parents so any suggestions. I would
love to have two of my favorite cars here. Sorry for the wordiness.
Thanks
Brad Russell
