Window motors

Apply 12v direct from a known good supply in the car, do not rely on
anything that has come through a door jamb. Mine was showing power according
to a digital meter and the lights in the switches were lit, but the
connection was high resistance. Enough current for LED's and meters though.

Use a fused wire to try the motors with, maybe use a meter inline that can
read 20A and apply the 12v each way, one way should send window up, the
other way down. Big old spark and no movement + lots of current draw says
motor or gearbox seized, no current draw says open circuit/ worn brushes.

My 200 had the bad connection IN the door about 4" past the hinge, several
red/yellow ? wires are welded together here and mine were high resistance.
Clue to this one, does the sunroof work ????
It gets it's 12v from within the door !!!!!!!!!! This might not apply to a
5000 though.
