Transmissions from Germany

    Hi all,
    
    to my understanding there are a few guys on this list 
    that are either waiting for or thinking about getting
    5-/ 6-spds or other "bigger" parts from german lister 
    Rob Braunschweig.  I want to share my experience on 
    the same subject:

    I ordered and paid two 6-spds last November. The delivery
    was supposed to happen in a month, but in the end I received
    the boxes in late April. At some stage during the wait I started
    to get worried - why does it take so long etc.
    In my case checking and refurbishing the boxes took a lot 
    of time. The third party, who was going to do the job(and who
    supplied the trannies), was overloaded with work and could not 
    keep his part of the timetable. 

    I wanted the boxes and decided to wait - after talking to Rob over
    the phone several times I felt no risk losing my money. 

    Everything else went smoothly, boxes were the correct ones ;-), 
    the shipment was properly crated  to avoid damage during 
    transportation etc.

    The other 6-spd has just been installed - the wait was worth it.

    And finally, NO affiliation of any kind...
