Same happened to me. Specified 2.6 liter, I filled 3.2 as the Bentley
read, and it still didn't flow out the hole. When feeling with my
finger, the level is about 5 mm below the filler hole. What is
correct? Should I trust the specified, ot just fill it up until fluid
starts dripping out?

I have the exactly same experience as you regarding bushings. I bought
my '90 200TQ and found almost all rubber bushings + front control arms
(expen$ive) to need replacement. Type $$? You bet.. :-)
