A6 Front Suspension noise

I have a 1998 A6Q w/~90K.  The front end makes horrible noises when turning
stationary or going over bumps when moving.  The noise is a loud rubber type
of squeak and seems to originate in some control arm joint in the RF.  It
only makes the noise when the suspension is loaded (on ground), it will not
make the noise when jacked off the ground by the frame (not the lower
control arm).  It does it more when the weather is warm and I have not been
able to isolate the problem.  I am afraid to bring it to the dealer for
repair and have him just start throwing parts at it.  Any help would be
appreciated.
