You're not alone.  
I have 3 sets of wheels and tires for one of my cars, this was so I
could have race rubber and street rubber. The street rubber has
somehow evolved into Kumho V700's and the other 2 sets don't appear to
have any tread at all. So much for street rubber. 
I also just went out and counted my unmounted tires.  Hmmm, 20,
including 1 motorcycle front, 4 Toyo RA-1's, 4 Yoko A022's, 4 Eagle
GS-N, 2 RE-71's, 2 Eagle GS-C's, etc.

Maybe I should get rid of a few?
