warm side vents during A/C

OK - I got this one resolved last night. Used a heater valve from a 4000S
which was surprisingly a different configuration/orientation, but was able
to get it to work fine. The old one definately was shot as you could easily
blow through it when closed.
AC blew cool, not ice cubes, but OK considering the low pressure side
registered too low. No more hot air coming out of side vents, unless I turn
the heat on.

Most likely. But before replacing, disconnect the cable that operates valve
and see if you can manually close it completely. If the side vents get ice
cold, you solved your prollem. Just reconnect the cable with the dash temp
lever slid full left.
HTH. I ended up replacing mine. I believe they come either with plastic or
metal body. I would opt for the metal if you can. Under $30.
