Take the car to a competent Body Shop, they change bushings all the time
and should have a better idea of what to do than "Goober" down at Wally's
fillin station seems to.....

The subframe is that Sub Assembly shaped kinda like an X that is attached
to the Frame in the front of the car.  It's where the control arms bolt
to.  Same as on 'merican, and some other 4n cars.
