First of all, i would like to thank all who replied to my problem of hot st=

Luke,
Had the same problem with my '87 after I r&r'd the valve cover to blast and
paint it (not powder coat - hey, I don't have Huw's access).
After re-assembling, had to be easy on the pedal or the light would come on.
Turned out that in my enthusiasm in re-assembling the top of the engine, I
neglected to re-attach the ground wires under one of the bolts which holds
the cruise control vacuum servo and the throttle cable. Came across the fix
while browsing the archives/SJM's site - says to check how good the ground
is here - amazing that air is so non-conductive. Reattached and haven't
seen the light since. (I've returned to babying the throttle now, but due to
poor tranny mounts allowing the tranny to thump the floor under boost - fix
in the works.)
HTH
Cheers!
