Joel....
Bottom line....confusing as I may write.........
is that if the Coupe starts (one crank turnover) and I _drive_ it, starting
is good for the balance of the day's starting, no matter how many times
that I start the Coupe on that trip. The car runs perfectly once it starts.
However, if I go out to start it now and it starts and then I turn it off,
a few hours later it may or may not start and then a few hours after that,
it may or may not. It seems to like a warm engine for reliable starts which
follows my temperature sensitive theory. Right now, it has started
everytime (say 20 times) for last 2 days while sitting in the driveway
because it's been warm.
Timing is on.
Kneale and Scott....
I don't find that it cranks more slowly in the colder weather. But as soon
as I can get it NOT to start again, I'll pop another battery in to
eliminate that possibility.
StevieK......
I'd rather not think that it's a flywheel but rather the speed sensor pin
on the flywheel. Apparently there is a gap to be set between the sensor and
the flywheel which I will check as soon as it DOES NOT start.
I need this car not to start so I can diagnose it.
Thanks for the input.
John.....
