mAC - Nu Finish a protectant or just a polish

I was contemplating whether or not I have to re-wax my 200Q (minor Audi
Content) since I have waxed it with Nu Finish, which Chi Wong informs me
is not a wax. Does anyone know whether or not it still protects the
finish like a wax or does it just make things shiny? (I did find it did
still bead almost a year later, so I figured it was protecting, somehow,
and I really don't feel like waxing again, I don't have the time, but the
car still looks good so I ought to protect it, right?.)
