It does. Some independent mag ran a test, and said that these things
often do better than a drain plug since they can slide all the way in
and actively suction sludge out. Plugs are sometimes not a the dead
bottom of the pan these days. Mine really siphoned my A6 dry.
BTW, it helps to have the oil a little warm (*NOT HOT*).
