HELP, need a location to tap into for oil temp gauge

I have added the three gauge suite from a coupe/4000 into my '84 4KQ, with =
some creative uses of the Dremel, of course.   I have tapped into a good po=
wer source that is active only when the ignition is on.  I have also tapped=
 into the instrument light circuit with no problems.  This is my current st=
atus:

1.  Volt meter - everything is A-OK
2.  Oil pressure - I am planning to scavenge a sending unit from a coupe/40=
00 from a local junkyard next weekend.
3.  Oil temp - I have no idea where to tap into for this.  A few people sai=
d there was a place somewhere around the oil pump but I sure could not see =
anything there.  Maybe it was an 85-87 thang.  Since I am planning to scave=
nge next weekend, is there a sending unit on another model than an '84 that=
 has what I need and can use?
