Help, Alpine Disc Changer Owners

Anyone have an Alpine changer that they can unplug easily? If so I'd
love to know what voltage runs through the main power feed, it's one of the
larger two prongs in the center of the round plug. I get around 4.5 volts
and the specs say I need 11-16 volts. So I gave a little 9 volt juice to
the little power board to see if the changer would spring to life, nope.
Instead it mildly sizzled the little power board, the track from the power
in is sizzled. I think the changer just got too wet and not won't wake up
at all, no matter what I do. I found some on Ebay and even some 12 changers
which would make for a decent upgrade, around $100 vs. $300 for new.

If I have a fudged plug and the voltage isn't getting through then I
will have the little circuit board repaired and replace the cable, but I
have a feeling the 4.5 voltage is normal. Hope the head unit is ok, but
should be since the changer got wet, but who knows maybe the wetness
effected the changer and busted the head unit, sigh... Just installed those
6 1/2" speakers up front too:(

Thanks!
