Antenna Amp problems, '89 200Q AND '93 100CSQA

Thanks to the list, I found that the antenna leads were switched on my
200Q. I was excited to get AM back (to listen to the World Series when I
was on the road), but I perhaps now know why the leads were switched.

The car now suffers light IR (radio interference, from the ignition) in
radio mode only (doesn't affect the tape deck) AND, I get popping sounds
(i.e. bad connection) when the car goes over severe bumps.

The question: Is this a common or unusual problem for the type 44 with
Dual Diversity antenna?

I did DeOxit the connections at the back of the stereo afterwards, and
then jiggled them with the radio on with no problems, so, obviously if
there is still noise, it's possibly the amp or the connections to the
back. Unfortunately, the shift linkage is bust at the moment, so I can't
drive the car to see what happens on bumps at the moment. Anyway, anyone
know if there are any common problems with the rear amp or the
connections?

FInally, does anyone know the location of the rear antenna amp for the
100CSQ Avants (friend's car). His amp seems to have quit, or a connection
has been knocked off.

TIA,

LL - NY
