Re 4KS shift linkage

OOPS!  Misread the question the first time.  On a 4KS the stabilizer rod
is indeed a common problem.  I recently fixed one on a customer's car
with a coat hanger.  Baling wire would have been a better thing, but the
fresh shop uniforms were in my trunk so the hangers were the tool of
opportunity.  Occasionally we see the bushings in the linkage fail, and
the parts are ONLY available in the updated version, which requires all
the various bushing carrying pieces to be replaced.  $150 for the
pieces, more or less.  The bushings for the stabilizer rod MAY be
available for the updated rod, but not for the early one, AIR.  John
