Rob thanks for the feedback. Well I guess I won't ream out the guts. It
was worked well on a Mustang 5.0 litter but do want to preserve the
integrity of my fine vehicle.
Some may have misunderstood my original post. Spell check doesn't correct
unclear content no matter how bad it is. The Audi service person was
actually recommending I do not purchase the Cats from the dealership. Yes
List he said that. His recommendation though was to find OEM aftermarket
Cats. So with that in mind who manufactures Audi branded Cats and where are
they sold on the aftermarket. Does Discount converters fit this bill?
Sorry for dragging this issue out I am kind of a stickler on sticking with
original parts but a price of $1200 per cat has thrown me for a loop on this
but still want the best.

Gutting them on the V6 makes the car sound HORRIBLE. It turns it to boom
chamber and it sound like a horrible ricy honda exhaust.
If they are rattling, days are numbered. I'd give it no more than 2-3 weeks
at tops.
