84 Quantum 5 cyl check valve

Current problem involves a check valve on the 84 Quantum.  In an earlier
post, lister Chuck Hill said he was having a similar problem with fuel
delivery and sent me an extra check valve he had on hand.  Thank you
Chuck!

When I tried installing it, it was different than the one that was
currently in the pump.  Mine is a two piece and constructed differently.

The fuel pump carries the VW Audi logo with number 321-906-091  and the
Bosch number 0 580 254 001 followed by 12V and  346.

The pressure damper is 321-906-095 and carries the Bosch number of 0 280
161 200 with 346
on another line.

Again the part needed is the top section which actually contains the
check valve .

Local VW and Audi parts departments were unable to help with the two
piece valve. All their literature shows only the single piece valve.

Any recommendations ?
