Pissed off with the same questions all the time

Thanks for the "ad", Luke. Yes, I put that up there. First off, I did not
write the code. I merely put it up, tweaked it a bit, configured it, and
started the basic "structure" of things. MoinMoin is an open source and
ever evolving wiki clone.
General consensus when I "beta-tested" it June 28, 2001 was that it was
A) too clumsy
B) too confusing
C) too hard to get used to
D) difficult to understand
Get it? :>. A wiki is something that is supposed to be modifyable by
everyone at any time and therefore, requires a bit of mind shift to get
used to.
We could remedy this by educating a few people on how to use it, and make
them "moderators" for certain areas. This is already the format I was
thinking about. That way, people could send their favorite "tips" to the
moderator and boom, the moderators would handle it. Yes, this is a lot of
work for a moderator, but really, only in the beginning. After we get a
critical mass of stuff in a particular section, that answers about 85% of
the questions and the "new" stuff, well, hopefully that moderator will be
an active participant (lurker or no) on the list and post things he/she
sees fit into the knowledge base.
What P.Payne is proposing is a little more involved, at least what he
demos on his site regarding UrQ wiring and such. That's something that
might be better off in another system altogether, and I would be more than
willing to code it up if someone has some ideas on it.
I may not be able to turn a wrench, but I think I can help out on this
stuff...
