Yes, that's quite close.  Scott's site is also pretty good at
http://www.sjmautotechnik.com and I suspect anything I write will wind up
pointing there a lot.

I have in mind a drill-down idea using HTML - it's the ultimate in common
formats and probably everyone can write it.  If I start with an overall
structure ( see http://www.isham-research.com/quattro/wiring.index.html )
that opens up with the dumbest questions ("Has it got four rings on the
front?") and localises rapidly using clickable URLs, then others can start
to do bits and only need me to hook them in to the main pages.  Everyone
keeps what they're doing on their own site and looks after their own chosen
speciality - suspension, tyres, engine management, technical specifications,
whatever.  We all agree to change any of our material by majority request,
i.e., if the consensus on the mailing list says we're wrong about something.
