I have figured out the archives, but the amount of noise vs signal (once
I've found the right key word for the search) is pretty bad, generally. So
I save the really good posts I come across (and maybe I'll even make a
backup copy next time, as hard drive crashes are a certainty).
Then there's the problem that my Internet connection won't stay up for the
duration of my search, and having to reconnect gets old pretty quickly.
So I ask a 'stupid' question every now and then, and hope I don't get shot
down for it.
Besides, I've noticed that sometimes, the 'old' questions get a really good
answer, because someone has taken the time to compile the 'ultimate
answer'. That's what discussion lists are for, discussing and learning.
It's less taking and much giving for the old hands who've BTDT on most
subjects, which- I concur- can get boring. But you're helping lots of
people who appreciate what you're doing.
Regards, Tom
