well i'm glad people are starting to talk about the faq. I always thought
we needed one. other faq's i've seen on the web cover the basics, but not
most of the common gremlins and solutions. about being pissed off, excuse
me, I missed all the discussion. I've been gone for a while, and I only
recently started reading this list. And frankly, this list is huge, it can
be pain in the arse, to read even half of the messages. Same goes for going
thru the archive. Same goes for writing a huge post about your opinions.
One thing to keep in mind....if you just wrote a huge post on something
that get asked about again and you're likely to be "pissed" if you reply to
it....don't. There's no need. There are more than just a few people on the
list, and not always do the gurus have to reply to everything. That's what
my experiences have been like on other car forums. There are a few gurus
and a bunch of people who are not. On the MGB list, when a question gets
asked, gurus reply....then whenever it gets asked again, anyone can reply
w/ the info learned by the others. This way people will start learning and
explaining to others....eventually, maybe these people will be gurus. The
best way to learn something is to teach it. I've never experienced such
negative attitude on a forum before....I don't get it. We should all be
trying help each other out...if yer tired of it, let someone else talk! You
don't HAVE to press that send button....

peace.
