There is no computer behind the cold start injector on your car.
It's goverened by a simple thermo-time switch.  The cold start injector
only operates while you're cranking (ignition switch in 'start' position),
and only if the thermo-time switch is not open circuit (determined by
the amount of time that you had been cranking and the engine and ammbient
temperature).

Check to see if there is voltage going to this switch plug while the
ignition is in the start position (everything cold), and that will tell
you whether your switch is bad.  Measure the voltage between the pin with
the red/black wire and ground.  The other pin is the link to the cold start
valve.  You should also check between this pin and the matching pin on the
cold start valve electrical plug for continuity.

BTW, this is all in the Bentley manual.  You should invest in one for
the upkeep of your car.
