4kq ignition work with MC?

OK i've been doing a bit of thinking lately and i've got this MC motor..
no flywhell (auto).. the motor's still actually in the car. but anyways to
make a long story short
i wanna rip it out and bolt it into my 4kq. I'm already upgrading to 90
stuts and ABS,
so would the factory 4kq flywheel bolt up to the MC crank ? yes.. i think..
well couldn't i put the 4kq distributor into the MC and use that ignition
and wire up a knock
warning light instead of worrying about the computer control?
until i eventualy convert to electronic ignition.

would it work? in theory at least?
