Yes yes yes yes yes. It all works. The 4kq flywheel is 228mm vs. the MC 240
so if you really beat on it, the 4kq clutch might not hold up too long.
Right now I have all the factory Quantum syncro (same as 4kq) fuel and
ignition running my turbo'ed JT motor and it's working beautifully. I have a
knock light that I made out of Saab APC stuff and it doesn't flash much
anymore now that I've installed a vac advance/boost retard canister on the
distributor. The car is very fast, maybe not fast enough yet, but EFI will
be installed sometime down the road.
If you are only trying to use the 4kq flywheel because you're being cheap or
can't find an MC one, Chris Semple (force5auto.com) has them for 40 bucks.
If you're interested in using the 4kq ign. system because the MC wiring
harness is miles long and scares the hell out of you, then using the 4kq
stuff is great way to go IMHO. Runs out of fuel around 6-8psi though, so
you'll need some help if you want to go over that mark. I've got an extra
injector comming on at 6psi (cold start injector in boost tube and pressure
switch)
