:::Read all the way to the bottom:::

Let's just start cranking! I propose using the Wiki knowledge base to
start with because it's there. We can transition out of this if need be,
and I'll volunteer to handle that bit.

Here's the plan:
1) need about 10 volunteers to be "moderators" for categories. Currently,
the categories are car model types from "Gen 1" cars (pre 1996). They can
be found here: http://www.audifans.com/kb/moin.cgi/CarSpecific
Email me if you wanna sign up for a slot (I know we'll have at least one
for each slot.)

2) Everyone else, find your archives of stuff and figure out what you want
in the FAQ. As soon as I have moderators, I'll post their email addys and
we will funnel the postings through them to start. Get ready for the "GO"
signal, it'll be out by end of week.

_I_ will personally work with all volunteers to get them accustomed to the
Wiki and coordinate the first set of postings. I suggest doing it this
way so we work out all the "kinks" and templates for writing up tips. That
way, we have a good base to build upon, which I think is paramount.

Where there is a wealth of information already (C.Miller, P.Payne,
H.Powell), we will be putting in links to their pages as they have put in
tons of time and effort getting their pages up. Fortunately, they are very
car specific, so that will be easy (200q20v, UrQ, CGT/4k/90,
respectively). I hope they will be volunteers in this effort.

This is not meant to re-do or ursurp the efforts of these fine people (and
others). It's just a start to the prompting Phil gave us (and with which I
heartily agree).

So, drop me a note if you want to be a moderator for a particular section
(car).

Mark
