This is a FAQ. The headlight autocheck "relay" compares the current running=
 through the low beam filaments, there is no good way to fool it back into =
proper operation with relayed eurolights. See http://20v.org/light.htm#auto=

triggers the warning reads the power draw  DIFFERENCE when a bulb is out
and signals based on that difference.   I think Audi wires both sides
separately so that the warning system can work.  If you power one side from
a relayed source on the other side, the warning system cannot function as
designed.
