cracked EM, big crack

Hi listers.

I will appreciate you advice in the following matter:

EM is cracked big time(engine mount was totally shot).  Crack runs 2/3
of pipe circumference and does not look like hair crack any more.  It is
pretty big. But there were no sound from it.  Can I use this EM again?
Whould I be better with used EM with smaller crack from junk yard? Or I
have no choice and have to buy new EM?
That the crack relaxed a stress in bolted EM. I think that after I
machine the EM and bolt it on it will be again put under stress. I  am
afraid that it will just open that crack more trying to relieve the
stress in the weakest place.
    DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE OF REUSING EM WITH BIG CRACK?
