Eric,
There is a DKW RT 200 for sale on eBay right now....of course, you'd have to
ship it from Germany, but that's not impossible.  Here in North America I
have seen a few go for sale, but the asking price is ridiculous.  The
designs for the popular RT 175's were pre-war, and as a result, lots of
manufacturers made their own versions of the bikes - witness the Harley
Hummer ferinstance.  A big source of DKW copies was the Soviet Union - they
produced copies of the DKW bikes for years.  I have seen a seller on eBay in
Indianapolis, or thereabouts, selling Russian DKW clones.  You might
consider that as well - they do have their roots in Auto Union design.  If
you wish, I can let you, and other listers, know if any bikes come up for
sale in the Classifieds of the DKW Club of America.  Let me know.
About getting toasted by S4tt's - hey, I can't wait until I line up at a
light with my DKW Junior - 36 horses of pure smoke (the two-stroke exhaust,
not the tires).  I bet I can make them look, though.
