Valve cover differences and carbon canister removal

Yes, apparently. That's what Nate has done on his 90tq.

You could just leave it connected with no vacuum source.. that would probably
mean that the carbon in the canister would at least collect most of the
fumes.. but the point of the canister being connected to vacuum is to remove
the fuel vapors from the engine bay and consume them in the engine. Why
can't you leave it in? You should be able to just connect the canister to
the back of the IM.
