At least you can GET a tranny for your car. The 200q20v tranny
stands as one of the most difficult to obtain. With less than 1000
cars in the US, GFL(good f* luck) trying to find one in a junkyard.
I believe at one time you could get V8q 5 speed rebuilt trannies
from AoA, but not 200q20v's. In the US, there are roughly 20
200q20vs to each v8q 5 speed.
You can probably count the number of v8q5's driving on US roads today
on your hands+toes.
95-97 A6's, in comparison, litter junkyards. I suspect -someone-
will fill the gap and either deal in tested used units, or repair
them. At a certain point, the market for rebuilding may justify the
equipment and experienced staff to service the trannies.
