Hi Syl,

Not sure what the hose goes to, but from your description it sounds a lot
like the vacuum line for the decell valve on the manual transmission 5ktq.
On the 5ktq it goes to a blow-off type valve near the air box, best accessed
with the PS front wheel and plastic fender shroud removed.
