ATE Power Discs

I have an '84 5kt w/ front power discs, and I really liked the brake
performance. I don't really think there was much difference between flat
and slotted, but I think the slotted are nice b/c they shed water quickly
and it's easy to tell when they're finished. I think the advantages are
more subtle...not like upgrading pads or calipers. Also, I replaced my
pads... all 4 calipers...and master cylinder. All were OE parts, expect for
the ATE powerdiscs. I think that's partly why I felt very confident. But I
definitely can say powerdiscs don't worsen performance.

Audi usually used front vented discs and rear drums or solid discs. Maybe
they sold you the rear discs as fronts???
