koni adjustable strut help

Howdy,

I have a couple of questions.  I'm about halfway done with my suspension
overhaul, the front is done, working on the rear.  The problem I have is
my fault, but when the first strut tower was reasambled and sitting on
the bench, it fell off and landed on the floor and pushed the little
adjusting pin thing on top of the strut, the part that the handle locks
onto, back into the shock.  It dosen't look like it broke, it was just
shoved back inside the shock.  Did I ruin the shock?  I think if I get a
coupe of sharp punches I may be able to pry it out from the sides,
hopefully.

And how should I adjust them (it for now) initailly?
