Sagging headliner blues

       I have never found an adhesive that would work. I have tried it but
found that the foam is lost and the finished appearance is poor. When it did
work, the fix was temporary, sometimes only a few hours. I have replaced the
entire headliner a few times. Headliner material is available at most fabric
stores, about $10.00 a yard here. The essential part of the job seems to be
cleaning the fiberboard. I have used lacquer thinner and steel wool. I have
heard good reports of citrus cleaners, but haven't tried them.
