tune up hassles!

Grrr...simple tune up turns into nightmare; film at 11.  My '87 5kcstq is
giving me grief:

1. plug 1 won't budge. Tips on getting it loose?  Don't wanna strip those
threads ya know.

2. Ferkin' new distrib cap; back clip won't clip on (nearest firewall).
While trying my darndest to get it clipped, I heard a crunch: A multi-wire
plastic connection/do-dad on the distrib near that back clip came loose.
Great, WTF did I break?!  Plus, any tips on getting those dern cap clips to
behave?
