Digital Camera Recommendations - for documenting auto repairs?

I like my Sony DSC-F505 a lot, would buy one again. I have lots of pics
taken with this camera, let me know if you want any to see the results.
Excellent (Carl Zeiss) lens, 5x optical zoom (10x digital zoom).
Easy-to-use interface, fully automatic as well as manual. Three-level flash
(great feature!), lots of pixels (3.3m in its latest incarnation). I've had
mine for over a year now, and I'm still amazed by the results.
Caveats: invest in a memory card and a spare battery, but that goes for any
digicam you'd buy.
