Braking question

Update, I did find that on each side one pin of the two were very tight.
Upon removing them I did also notice the lack of grease. After
regreasing with caliper grease they were still tight. Based on the
understanding that they are supposed to move freely, I've concluded that
they are bad. But how can this be, why would they be bad? I did order
four new pins and guide thingamajigs to be replaced this weekend. The
new pads and rotors could not be properly beded?, until the pins have
been replaced. I did pay a shop to replace the pads/rotors and bleed the
brakes, I didn't have time to do it right. I do appreciate the
responses, one mention though someone indicated there wasn't a bomb on
this car. I did note on the fiche that there is, what is refereed to as
a pressure accumulator, which I thought was also called the bomb. Is
this correct?
