As I continued through the digests, I was thrilled to see even more on the topic.

FYI, this is how my car is setup. First, its a 97 A4 1.8tq. It came with the sport package(which in 97 did not include the suspension). I have an APR chip, and an APR exhaust. Koni struts and Eibach springs. The car has about 88k on the clock(young for an Audi). Currently it has the OEM goodyears on the 16 inch rim. The Kumhos were down to the tread this fall, and figured I could wait until spring to get new ones, so the goodyears went on. The Hakka 1's will be going on soon.
Currently, the car has been quite neglected. I bought a 61 Morris Mini this spring and it has dominated my auto related free time.
The audi currently needs a ball joint on the left front.

I certainly enjoyed the drive, and I likely wouldn't have gone quite as fast if I hadn't seen an another audi come up behind me. Its likely that the driver(me) was the limiting factor on that drive, not the car. There were several instances on that drive where there was more gas pedal left, however my lack of courage decided that I shouldn' put it to the floor.

As for joining the quattro club to enjoy spirited driving with others, I don't disagree. However, I must also suggest the Sports Car Club of Vermont(www.sccv.org). We auto-x, Hillclimb, Ice race and we even have an odd track event or two.
