Arm rest for early sport seats

I'm wondering if the apparent increase in list traffic over the last few weeks is a consequence of the list's newfound ability to
de-HTMLise posts that I would previously simply not have seen.

I seem to remember being somewhat surprised when I took my ur-quattro's seats apart to find provision for an armrest in the
seatback.

If you DO take the seat backs apart, take the opportunity to reinforce the welds in the upper corners with a couple of small
fillets.
