RIP 1991 90Q20v4dr

Just learned that my friend's wife totalled their 1991 model 90 quattro 20
valve 4 door, and it is sitting in a salvage yard waiting for disposition
by the insurance company.

Friend's wife sustained only minor injuries from air bag and seat belt. Car
sacrificed it's life, as designed.  Collision was left frontal at 50+ mph
with a Jeep that ran a stop sign. Interior is very good and intact, as is
everything from the firewall back.

Prior to accident, the engine ran fine, and the car had just received $800
in service to make it reliable for the winter. Today, the engine front
sheet metal is torn away and the timing belt is broken. Degree of engine
damage is undetermined. Gear box probably damaged and rear drive train
leaking diff fluid from invasion of center drive shaft.
